Wood Firing & Salt Glazing Workshop

Bristol Studio Session

1994 was before a kiln shed was constructed over the Noborigama, so firings were out in the open and subject to the particularities of the weather.

 

The workshop in 1994 had a patch of wet weather but that did not keep the kiln from firing on schedule, only making the smoke hang low in the valley.
