Jomon Jomon refers to an ancient style of Japanese
pottery
that often had a basketlike textured surface.
Robert's pieces are turned on the potters wheel,
then pressed with cording to create the texture.
Glaze then pools in the texture during the firing,
to create wonderful variation in color
