Brick making Operation

Using 5 Beehive Kilns fired with Natural Gas

Robert dropped by there in April of 2005 and was fortunate to be able to see all process of operation, as various bee hives were being loaded, fired, or cooled for unloading.

Blowers help cool kiln for faster unloading

Domed Arches
of all Beehives are one of the most beautiful aspects
of this type of kiln design

The photos show kilns in various stages of being loaded, fired and unloaded. Robert had the unique opportunity or arrive when each of the 5 kilns was in a different stage of operation.

Note heavy banding on kiln walls for support outward thrust.
