Clayton Calderwood
Clayton's Clayworks, East Brewster, MA

Christine Homer (my wife)  & Clayton Calderwood in the post & beam studio he built.

Clayton built an articulating door. The door swings away to allow ease for loading.

Using Oil Fired Burners, Clayton was able to avoid most of the issues other potters on " the Cape" had with permitting.  Other potters who used LPG fired kilns found they had to purchase commercial LPG kilns in order to meeting zoning regulations. Note the short chimney, typical when using oil burners.
