Bill Knoble

Red Truck Pottery, Chestertown, NY
1996

Bill Knoble has been wood firing  since the early 1970's.

The main chamber has a stacking area of over 200 cu ft.

His first wood kiln, was fired over 400 times before being retired and replaced by this larger design.

This kiln is quite unique, as it has a Bourrey box
preceding a Dogie Firebox.

This design allows stoking in a more leisurely fashion
during the early stages of the firing.
