Hoyt & Nancy Barringer
Vermont
1999

Straight tube kiln, photo taken in 1999.
Hoyt apprenticed to Todd Piker,
a potter who favors snake style wood kilns.

Hoyt stands at over 6 ft and designed his kiln to accommodate his height.
The chamber is over 6 ft 6 inches tall and an equal width.

Since this photo was taken,  Hoyt and Nancy have moved from their studio in northern Vermont to the Champlain Valley.  This kiln was last fired in 2003
